Is The Quran Really a True Word of God (Allah)?
Revelation
The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH over a period of 23 years. The revelation was not from beginning to the end, rather it was a verse here and a verse there. Prophet Muhammad PBUH didn't know how to read and write so he had memorized The Quran in the correct order and so did the Muslims around the prophet PBUH. Quran was not available in a book form during the life time of the prophet PBUH.
What is The Quran about
- Who is the creator and who is not a creator. Allah is the only creator
- Purpose of life -Worship the creator
- Guidance for a balanced life
- There is a life after the worldly life for accountability on how we lived our life in the World
The theme that Allah has given in The Quran is to worship Him alone, ask from Him, rely on Him, be conscious of Him, and be grateful, thankful to Him. -The same basic message in all major religions.
- Prophet Moses PBUH: Magic / sorcery was the thing, and Prophet Moses PBUH was given miracles to counterfeit that. Prophet Moses PBUH was not a magician nor a sorcerer.
- Prophet Jesus PBHU, at his time Leprosy was an uncured disease. One of his miracles was curing people with Leprosy, although he had not studied medicine.
Likewise at the time of The Prophet Mohammad PBUH the Arabs were at the peak of eloquence. Prophet Mohammad PBHU hadn't learnt to read/write. Yet the eloquence of The Quran is unmatched. This was acknowledged by the best of the poets of that time. Recognizing that such words cannot be from a human being many turned to Islam.
In The Quran, Allah tells about His signs and encourage us to use the intellect He has given to us to judge them, (with an unbiased mind) to understand that He is the Creator of everything around us including ourselves!

Conclusion!
Prophet Mohammad PBUH didn't know how to read and write
- he had never sailed
- in the 6th century, there was no correct scientific knowledge, only assumptions about various things
- there wasn't any equipment or means for making such discoveries
How was it possible for Prophet Mohammad PBUH to mention not one, not two but lots of much advanced knowledge, with absolute accuracy, above that on a variety of topics!
A knowledge that took many, many years of research by scientists, specialized in their respective fields, doing their research in all parts of the world, aided by most advanced and sophisticated equipment of their times!
